MEETING AND DELIVERY OF ZUNIBAL ELECTRONIC MONITORING (EM) CAMERA EQUIPMENT

In December 2025, the Vietnam Tuna Association (VINATUNA) and Zunibal Vietnam met with Zunibal Vietnam Co., Ltd. for delivery of Zunibal electronic monitoring (EM) camera equipment, and to discuss plans for piloting the EM system on fishing vessels. This activity supports the “Pilot implementation of Electronic Monitoring (EM) system on skipjack tuna purse seine vessels”, under the Vietnam Nam Skipjack MSC Improvement Program. Previously, in November 2025, VINATUNA worked with Zunibal Spain and reached an agreement on the trial piloting EM camera in Vietnam.

GRIEVANCE MECHANISM IN VIETNAM TUNA FISHERIES FIP

The Vietnam Tuna Association (VINATUNA) has announced an adjusted FIP Feedback Mechanism to ensure that fishers, crew members, and vessel owners have safe and effective channels to report issues related to working conditions, safety at sea, and responsible fishing practices.
